These National Cybersecurity Preparedness Consortium (NCPC) training courses are delivered by Norwich University Applied Research Institutes (NUARI).

MGT-328 Critical Thinking and Risk Management in a Cyber-Converged World (4 hrs):  This survey course enables leaders to define and determine business risk related to cyber security in a multifaceted environment. Participants are exposed to complex analysis and decision making related to risk. They will explore the importance of critical thinking and apply it to combined cyber, physical, and information problems.

MGT-365 Developing a Resilient Cyber Secure Community (8 hrs.): This course will work within the National Preparedness System’s preparedness cycle, focusing on Plan, Train, and Exercise. At the end of this course, participants will be able to measure their current preparedness, identify gaps, and experience role-playing through a community-level response scenario of an event that has either a cyber root cause or a cyber-attack that degrades response. The result of this training would be a more aware, resilient cybersecure community.

AWR-432 Integrating Hazard Response into Exercise Planning (4 hrs.):  This course teaches exercise planners how to incorporate cyber into all-hazard exercises, ensures exercise planning teams are aware of hazards related to cyber-enabled threats and how to address them within exercise programs.

NUARI, as a member of the National Cybersecurity Preparedness Consortium (NCPC), is a FEMA training provider.

A FEMA Student Identification (SID) number is necessary for registering and participating in any training offered by FEMA, as well as for the registration systems and enrollment processes of all FEMA training providers. The FEMA SID will serve as your unique identifier and be used to maintain the record of any FEMA training you attend. Obtaining and registering with FEMA’s Student Identification system is a one-time step, and the number can then be used to take training with FEMA or any FEMA training provider. Registering with a FEMA SID number ensures NUARI and the NCPC can continue to provide training at no cost, made available through congressionally designated funding awarded by FEMA’s U.S. Department of Homeland Security National Training and Education Division. For further information about the FEMA SID number, please see https://cdp.dhs.gov/FEMASID/
