In 2021, grant funding from the National Security Agency and the Department of Homeland Security allowed NUARI to continue our mission of aggressively exploring new approaches to delivering cyber education and conducting [cyber exercises](https://www.norwich.edu/news/3088-norwich-university-applied-research-institutes-receives-2-9m-federal-contract-for-transportation-simulations) for government and private sector organizations. Additionally, the funding allowed us to assist in developing the nation’s cyber workforce through three simultaneous efforts defining [experiential education](https://www.norwich.edu/news/3051-norwich-university-receives-1-6-million-grant-to-develop-experiential-cybersecurity-education) in higher-education cyberprograms.
