Aggressively explores new approaches to delivering cyber education and content using simulations, interactive games, and case studies.

Cyber Conflict

Cyber Conflict

The Cyber Conflict Research Institute (CCRI) was founded on the underlying assumption that cyberspace is an arena for international and sub-national conflict. No single organization in government, industry, or academia can, by itself, adequately contemplate or address any of the complex issues of cyber conflict. The role and mission of the military in national defense must be updated to account for the potential cyber threats to civilian-owned infrastructures in periods of armed conflict. CCRI contributes to national cyber preparedness by:

  • Planning and conducting cyber exercises for government and private sector organizations
  • Developing new technologies to improve understanding of cyber conflict
  • Enabling private industry to understand their risks and responsibilities
  • Developing new models to better understand the consequences of cyber conflict
Defense Technologies

Defense Technologies

The Defense Technologies Research Institute (DTRI) was established to leverage technology as a significant enabler to enhanced performance on a complex, asymmetrical battlefield. Our SME’s provide a unique link between the current user and the private sector provider of an emerging technology. DTRI promotes research and development of advanced man-portable systems in the areas of visual augmentation, sensors, mobility equipment, communications and information advantage, and force protection by seeking to adopt, adapt, or modify existing or new technologies that provide expanded capabilities to US forces.

  • Conducts continuous assessments of emerging and existing capabilities
  • Links operation needs with potential technology solutions
  • Executes applied R&D to rapidly produce prototypes to address specific needs
  • Mentors small businesses that demonstrate an aptitude for rapid response
Cyber Training

Cyber Training

The Learning Technologies Research Institute (LTRI) is a member of the National Cybersecurity Preparedness Consortium (NCPC). LTRI SME’s, along with our NCPC partner institutions, develop and deliver DHS/FEMA-certified online and face-to face training courses to states, counties, and critical infrastructure organizations nationwide to address cybersecurity and cyber terrorism threats. With experience in cognitive theory, instructional design, and human computer interfaces, LTRI develops technology-based instruction that fosters active learning. Courses are available at no cost!

  • All courses meet SCORM and Section 508 compliance standards
  • Subjects range from introductory non-technical courses to advanced
  • Custom training for your organization available – just let us know what you need!
