NUARI Secures $250,000 in Federal Funding from NIST for Cybersecurity Research

Norwich University Applied Research Institutes (NUARI) has received $250,000 in federal funding from the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) to advance our cybersecurity research and innovation. U.S. Senator Peter Welch (D-Vt.) and U.S. Representative Becca Balint (VT-At-Large) announced the release of these funds, which will support our Operational Technology Advanced Cyber Architecture initiative. This initiative aims to develop an advanced cybersecurity system to detect vulnerabilities and potential threats in domestic manufacturing, bolstering the sector's resilience against evolving cyber threats.

"This NIST funding will help NUARI drive cybersecurity innovation, protecting our nation's manufacturers from evolving threats. We're grateful for Senator Welch and Representative Balint's support in this critical effort," said Phil Susmann, President of NUARI.

As a trusted partner to prominent federal agencies like the National Security Agency (NSA), Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), The Department of Defense (DoD), and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), NUARI develops comprehensive frameworks that integrate people, processes, and technology to achieve security, vigilance, and resilience. With this funding, we'll continue to advance cybersecurity solutions for domestic manufacturing and critical infrastructure.
